Resigned to join RAF d. 25 Feb 1942 when a Squadron Leader with 255 Sqn, RAFVR when crash landing Beaufighter II T3023 due to engine failure on final approach to RAF Coltishall. P/O Harold Vincent also died of injuries sustained in the same accident. buried Scottow Cemetery Mrs Clennell wrote to Pauline Gower in May 1943, asking for help as she was "in very straightened circumstances."
