Buried at Stanwix Cemetery, Carlisle. ATA pilot Irene Arckless (q.v.) is buried in the adjacent plot.

The inscription reads

"In Loving Memory of

The Beloved son of 

HENRY and ANN PORTER,

Who was accidentally killed

March 15th, 1942

Aged 28 Years"
